Quality Review Checklist

Use this checklist before submitting each draft. If you can confidently check every box, your document aligns with the editorial rubric.

🟦 Skill Summary

Targeting

  • Is the summary clearly aligned with the client’s job target or career goal?

  • Does it reflect relevant experience without overlap from the headline?

Length

  • Is the summary between 4–7 lines?

  • Ideally, is it within 5–6 lines for optimal balance?

Phrasing

  • Have I avoided keyword salads and vague or repetitive language?

  • Do the sentences vary in structure and sound professional?

Keyword/Tech Table

  • Are the keywords relevant to the target role or industry?

  • Have I avoided listing tools/skills not supported in the intake?


🟨 Work History

Accuracy

  • Do job titles, dates, and sequencing match the client’s intake?

  • Have I confirmed that all relevant roles are included?

Rewrite

  • Did I fully rewrite client-provided content into polished, resume-ready content?

  • Have I revised any questionnaire wording or direct pasting?

Phrasing

  • Are bullet points varied and well-phrased using strong verbs?

  • Have I eliminated passive voice and fluff?

Length

  • Does each role have an appropriate number of bullets (ideally 3–6)?

  • Are bullets evenly balanced based on role duration and relevance?

Paragraph & Bullet Strategy / Questionnaire Inclusion

  • Have I used a consistent and intentional structure of paragraphs and bullets?

  • Have I meaningfully included insights or examples from the questionnaire?


🟩 Value Add

Strategy

  • Does the resume feel cohesive and purposeful from top to bottom?

  • Have I prioritized what matters most based on the client’s goals?

Formatting

  • Is formatting clean, consistent, and ATS-friendly (no text boxes or images)?

  • Are bullets aligned, spacing even, and headings styled consistently?

Client Questions / Stock Language

  • Have I integrated questionnaire responses with custom phrasing?

  • Have I replaced any generic “responsible for…” or filler language?


🟪 Communication

Message Content

  • Is my tone professional, solution-oriented, and clear in all messages?

  • Have I responded to client notes or internal messages appropriately?

Response Time

  • Have I replied to all messages and submitted revisions within 1–2 business days?

  • If delays occurred, did I communicate proactively?


🟥 Final Submission Check

  • Have I reviewed grammar, punctuation, and mechanics for errors?

  • Have I read the resume aloud (or reviewed in preview mode) to catch awkward flow or repetition?

  • Is the file submitted in the correct format (.docx or PDF)?

  • Do I feel confident this document meets or exceeds rubric standards?
