As part of bringing our brands closer together, we're moving toward delivering the final documents from a resume/CV order directly to Career.io instead of to the legacy portal. To support this change, we've made minor updates to the process of closing an order.
Before Closing an Order
The overall process will stay the same:
An order is eligible for completion exactly seven days after the first draft is delivered. If the first draft was delivered March 3 at 3:27 PM EST, it will be eligible for completion on March 10 at 3:27 PM EST.
If the client has been unresponsive or expressed concerns about the draft, please contact us before closing the order.
Double-check the last revision you sent to ensure it’s free of comments/prompts. If you send a revised draft the day the order is eligible for completion, wait two days to allow the client time for review before closing the order.
Important!!!
Make sure that the most recently uploaded drafts are the final versions you want the client to receive. You will not be prompted to upload new files in the order close process.
Expert Hub Steps
1. Verify the Final Documents
Go to the Documents tab of the order and verify that the most recent documents are the correct final documents. Upload new documents if needed.
2. Close Order Button
The first step will work exactly like you're used to. Find the "Close Order" button in Expert Hub and click it.
3. New: Confirm Order Close
The first change you'll notice is that Expert Hub asks you to confirm that you want to close the order. After you click "Yes", the order will be closed in the system. If you don't wish to close the order, click the "X".
4. Send the Farewell Message
After you click "Yes", the system will process for a moment. You'll know it is done when you see "Complete" and "Farewell" in the action area of Expert Hub, like this:
Just like before, the system will take you directly to your "order close" message. This has been updated to include a link to Career.io instead of to the portal.
You can edit the message if you wish, just be sure to leave the Career.io link in for your client. Then press 'Send'. The order is completed!
Important Notes
Once the message is sent, your work on the order is done, just like before. Please keep the following in mind to ensure a smooth experience for both you and the customer.
You must leave the line that says "View your documents now from the Career.io dashboard!" unchanged regardless of any other changes you make to this message.
Be sure to send the Farewell message before you leave the client's order or you could lose track of the order having been only partly closed.
Do not click on the link in the Farewell message after you send it. This is a one time "registration" link that will break for the client if you click on it.
